If you want a realtor that doesn't push or hurry you, provides far more services than just unlocking a door then you simply go with John.
We loved finding our new place with John. For the last 8 months, we have been looking at places and haven't had any good experience with realtors. All they did was unlocked the doors and then pushed us to submit an offer that was equal or higher than asking price so they can close and get their commission. Absolute opposite with John! In the first place we met him, he actually discouraged us, and we are now so happy he did that. Instead, he worked with us throughout the next few weeks to find what went with our budget. At no point did we feel pushed or rushed by him. Also, he's very knowledgeable in any construction/remodeling questions, tactics for a great mortgage, and negotiating with the owners. We now found and closed on our cool new place which is way bigger and nicer than we thought we could afford in this crazy market. Long story short, if you want a realtor that doesn't push or hurry you, provides far more services than just unlocking a door then you simply go with John.

It is hard to express how thankful I am to John, in guiding us through the entire process of buying our new home end-to-end. He carefully made all efforts to understand, act and represent our interests and desires from the start. His genuine concern for us buying the home that was right for us is something I have not experienced before in ANY kind of transaction (Real Estate or otherwise). Even after spending a significant amount of time with us looking at homes (with good candidate homes lined up) and proactively researching on our behalf all the details of the properties in question, he kept asking us if the initial "wants" we had expressed at the beginning of the journey, some of which we had abandoned, were no longer on our list... a situation where typically you would see your agent rushing you to close the deal and get done (e.g. "are you sure you don't want to buy land and build anymore?" which was our initial plan). Wow. I've been relocated by my Boston based company and needed to find housing quickly. From initial inquiry to handing over the keys John has been there helping us. John is responsive and listens. John immediately contacted us upon initial inquiry to understanding our housing needs; where, area, commute, price range and most importantly what matters to us.
Not being a local northern San Diego native is challenging to understanding where to live. As a local native, John was there to help us understand the different communities and help us narrow our search. We worked collaboratively to preview potential dwellings thus narrowing our search, and when ready, we spend the day exploring the potential properties. Our comments, high and low expectations, were used to fine tune or alter our search perspectives. John made this daunting process easy; viewing properties, selecting, and then navigating the confusing realm of buying. I am pleased that John was available to help us buy our new home.
